TRaC mark

TRaC has an established product certification mark - the "TRaC Certification Mark".This is a product safety mark in accordance with our approval as a National Certification Body (NCB) and extending our Certification Body Test Laboratory (CBTL) for safety testing under the IECEE Certification Body Scheme.

TRaC Certification Mark The TRaC NCB and CBTL offer a complete international service to safety clients enabling them to obtain from our NCB a safety document accepted by all member countries, currently numbering fifty, participating in  the Worldwide System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE).

As the supply chain becomes more complex and increases to more areas of the world, it has become difficult to monitor the safety and quality of products. However it is very important that safety and quality of products is maintained.  The European Union has historically relied on manufacturers to "self-declare" their compliance to the EU Directives and to place a CE Mark on their products. However, this is no longer a failsafe method. Products that clearly do not comply with established standards are making it to market with CE Marks on them; exporters and customers are left trying to determine which products are independently verified as safe.

The TRaC certification mark is our independent verification that is available to be marked on any product that has been tested to standards identified under the safety scheme and is subject to annual assessment of the customers manufacturing procedure and/or actual inspection of each certified product. The TRaC Certification Mark alone does not replace the product's CE Marking; it is an added value, signifying to the supply chain that this product has been independently verified.

The TRaC Certification Mark can be used on products and associated literature to demonstrate that our customers' products conform to a range of continuous compliance measures and meet with the requirements of prescribed product safety standards.

There are some specific rules governing the certification safety scheme, but in general the current safety scheme can be adapted to cover other TRaC services including but not limited to EMC, Environmental and Radio.
